February 1st is a big day for our local running community. The lottery registration for the Broad Street Run opens, and two exciting new shoes arrive at the store!
The 35th Annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run opens registration for their lottery for race entry as soon as the calendar flips to 2/1. The legendary 10 Mile Race takes runners through Philadelphia on Broad Street, a point-to-point course that lends itself to very fast times. Our 10 in 10 Training Program aims at the Broad Street Run as one on it's target races, so those interested in the program should register for the lottery if they wish to run!
In addition, the Brooks Transcend launches as a culmination of heavy research into stride and manifestation of the research into a shoe. Our previous blog post previewed the Transcend; look out for a detailed review tomorrow! Saucony also officially releases their update to the ever-popular Hurricane, now in it's 16th edition. The Hurricane works great for overpronators looking for a plush, cushioned ride.
We hope to see you in the store to try out some of the latest-and-greatest and wish you the best of luck with Broad Street registration!
